Paano ba ang spelling noon, oh?” biro muli ni Maria. Umugong ang balitang annulled na ang marriage nila nu’ng pumutok ang isyu na pakakasalan na raw ni Edu ang current girlfriend niya ngayon na si Pinky Webb. Nag-uusap ba sila ni Edu? “Magkaibigan naman kami ni Edu, eh. Game ka na ba? Sabi ko, ‘Game ka na ba ulit?’ Alam mo naman kaming dalawa ‘di ba? Hindi naman kami ano,magkagalit, kahit kailan. Friends kami. And I want him to be happy also.” Ano’ng isinagot ni Edu nu’ng sinabi niya kung game na ba ulit magpakasal ang kanyang ex-husband? “Well, let’s see, ‘di ba? Pa-suspense siya pero kunyari lang ‘yan. I know game na siya ‘no,” sagot ni Maricel.

Pwede na ba talagang pakasalan ni Edu si Pinky? “Oo, oo naman siguro. Pero hindi naman ako ang pari ‘di ba? Hindi naman ako ang magbabasbas. Baka made of cotton. Hahaha!” Ano ang feeling na magpapakasal na ulit si Edu? “Ako lang kung anuman ‘yun, kung meron mang ganu’n, kung matutuloy man ‘yun, hindi naman sa hindi natutuwa,. lahat tayo pwedneg maging masaya. Lahat tayo we deserve to be happy. ‘Yun ang gusto kong paniwalaan. Kasi ‘di totoo na doomsday ka palagi. Hindi pu-pwede ‘yung ganu’n.” So does this mean na legally possible na ba talaga na pwede ng magpakasal ulti si Edu? “Yes,” diretsong sagot ni Maricel. Has she ever met the ABS-CBN correspondent? “Hindi pa, eh. Si Tito Freddie (Webb), oo. E, love ko ‘yun. Ang sarap-sarap namang katrabaho ni Tito Freddie. Nagkasama kami sa Mary, The Potter noon. Nag-guest siya kasi si Tita Nova (Villa) ‘di ba ‘yung nanay namin doon. Tapos hinanapan namin siya ng husband.”

So this also means free na rin si Maria to be with another man. Handa na ba siya? “Ako? Kung magpapakasal ako ulit? Ayoko! No! Naku,. Nakakapagod, ha. Nakakadala. Naku, ginagawa ko na na nga sine ‘yan, eh.” Papayag ba siya s alive-in na set-up? “No! Secret. Secret ka d’yan. Naku baka maudlot, huh. Nag-uumpisa pa lang, ha. (bagong lovelife niya ). Huwag ninyong aswangin, huh,” pabaklang sagot ni Maricel. Kinulitkulit pa naming si Maria kung ilang months na ba sila nu’ng guy. “Saan? Sa sinapupunan ba o ano? Aba, eh, baka nga maudlot kaya huwag muna nating i-talk show. Kasi kapag tinalk show ko na, naku, wala na udlot na ‘to. Pack-up na ‘yan. Kapag naumpisahan kasi na ganyan, lost. ‘Di ba ganu’n? Mamaya kapag tsinek ko ang phone ko wala akong text. Kagagawan ninyo ‘to,” joke muli ng T2 star. Manonood ba sila ng sabay nu’ng guy na nagpapasaya sa kanya kapag ipinalabas na ang T2? Yayayain ba niyang manood ng sine ‘yung guy? “Darling, hindi ako marunong magyaya. Ayoko ng mga yaya-yaya, bakit?” Pero panonoorin kaya nilang dalawa ‘yung T2? “Ako panonorin ko,” tapos ni Maricel.

Pinky Webb Interviews Cher Calvin on UKG

I was able to watch Cher Calvin being interviewed on TV Patrol World by Mario Dumaual. Also, I heard from the grapevine that she guested on UKG but because of my new work schedule I missed it. Good thing JP gave me a heads up, and told me that there's a video clip on youtube. I am so giddy (like grade school giddy on the first day of classes), it's the first time that I saw the two persons I always look up to share the set and camera.




After watching the video clip, I wished I was watching live. I should have been a step closer in completing my list of the persons I want to meet in my life. (If we're friends on friendster you'll know what I'm talking about. :))

200-02-24 Update

Hi everyone, for those of you who are wondering Pinky Webb will be pinch hitting for Karen on TV Patrol World for a couple of weeks. I knew that because earlier this morning I heard it from Cheryl Cosim, she was explaining to one of the viewers/listeners (I'm not really sure because it was on teleradyo) why Karen isn't back on TVPW yet, she said that she's having her 2-week vacation. In my opinion I would love to see Pinky Webb on TVPW every night, but I think that would really be tough on her with her schedule and everything. And I would definitely not like it if she'll leave UKG in favor of TVPW, UKG will never be the same without her.

On a different note, I would like to thank everyone for making my birthday extra special. Special shoutout to K, for announcing my brithday to the world (I felt like a celebrity for a moment because I got lots of birthday greetings on my e-mail) and to Miss Pinky Webb and Alex Santos for greeting me on air yesterday. I know it's a couple of days late but still, it's the thought that counts. And with that... I can say that this is the most amazing birthday I ever had.

Pinky Webb to replace Karen Davila in TV Patrol World?

I just watched Pinky Webb deliver the news in lieu of Karen Davila over at TV Patrol World. She’s perfect. She’s not only eye candy on screen–she also projects a very professional mien.

Webb does not have the baggage of being a very close follower of discredited president Arroyo. Karen, well, enjoys the enviable position as an administration supporter, which is a kiss of death for any reporter. A reporter should not have any semblance of partiality to anybody, lest himself.

Everytime Karen anchors the afternoon radio show over at DZMM, ratings mysteriously dip. Why? Obviously, Karen takes care of certain “controversial figures” which shows when she goes to the booth. Karen defends Arroyo everytime. Remember her obvious editorial partiality when the Joc-Joc Bolante scandal broke out? HOw about when the First Gentleman got brickbats due to the World Bank report? She even defended the Alabang Boys to the derision of many radio listeners.

Question—is’nt that her husband now dabbles in public relations? Does this explain why sometimes she takes positions that are, well, rather irrationally siding the main culprits in those teledramatic scandals?

Should the management decide to really make Pinky Webb a regular mainstay at TV Patrol World, ratings are sure to rise even further.

Happy Heart's Day

Happy Valentine's day everyone! It's been forever since the last time I visited this blog. Anyway, yesterday was the first time that I had the time to listen to Radyo Patrol since 2009 started, and I think luck wasn't on my side, as we all know that Miss Pinky Webb was absent yesterday. Sigh. Anyway, I still continued listening to the news as I am quite deprived of the current events these past weeks. Don't get me wrong, I don't tune in to Radyo Patrol just because Pinky is there, I listen for the news, and Pinky Webb is just a bonus.

After the program, just as Alex was signing off he said "Sa ngalan po ni Pinky Webb, na siguradong may date bukas, ito po si Alex Santos". I know I'm shallow, but just with that line I felt giddy and excited for them!

A segue, I just want to say advance happy birthday to dear G (it's on the 20th, but I want to be the first to greet her)!

LoVe Is iN tHe AiR! HaPpY VaLeNtInE's DaY!

We may not know them personally, but we've witnessed how their love story evolved from friendship into a "different level" as to what Chairman would like to take it into when he announced that they were planning to settle down this year. Their love team/ team-up does really make our mornings "Umagang Kay Ganda"! We hope to see more sweet-kilig moments from them now that they finally revealed their relationship to the public. May they continue to love & be madly inlove with each other...ehehehe HaPpY VaLeNtInE's DaY mS. pInKy & ChAiRmAn! Best wishes...sana matuloy n po ang wedding nyo this year. God bless.
