I just watched Pinky Webb deliver the news in lieu of Karen Davila over at TV Patrol World. She’s perfect. She’s not only eye candy on screen–she also projects a very professional mien.
Webb does not have the baggage of being a very close follower of discredited president Arroyo. Karen, well, enjoys the enviable position as an administration supporter, which is a kiss of death for any reporter. A reporter should not have any semblance of partiality to anybody, lest himself.
Everytime Karen anchors the afternoon radio show over at DZMM, ratings mysteriously dip. Why? Obviously, Karen takes care of certain “controversial figures” which shows when she goes to the booth. Karen defends Arroyo everytime. Remember her obvious editorial partiality when the Joc-Joc Bolante scandal broke out? HOw about when the First Gentleman got brickbats due to the World Bank report? She even defended the Alabang Boys to the derision of many radio listeners.
Question—is’nt that her husband now dabbles in public relations? Does this explain why sometimes she takes positions that are, well, rather irrationally siding the main culprits in those teledramatic scandals?
Should the management decide to really make Pinky Webb a regular mainstay at TV Patrol World, ratings are sure to rise even further.

hi G, you're back! belated happy bday!wooaahhh ..i definitely agree with this & for sure ratings will really rise had the management decide to make Ms Pinky a regular at TVPW. she relieved Karen for a week & i'm quite sure there was already an effect on ratings had they only make a review of it.. well, we really hope to see her regularly on TVPW..
Yeah I agree! I would really love to see her on TVPW for as long as it (the show) lives!

I hope ABS-CBN will make Ms. Pinky as mainstay of TVPW. No offense meant to Ms. Karen but I prefer a newscaster who exudes a positive aura....just like Ms. Pinky.
IT's not going to happen. Sorry to burst your bubbles y'all.... Plus she they make her a mainstay of TV Patrol, Webb probably will have to give up one her shows.... Besides I like watching her on ANC.... :)
maybe you're right anonymous whoever u are ;) if ever pinky will be mainstay on tvp... she also give up her show either on anc or in radio but not on ukg gusto ko rin siya doon noh. she makes our day bright, great bubbly na rin...uyyy... well the management will decide if ever pinky would placed karen on tvp or karen will stay on tvp as anchor iyon na iyon...
Again I rather have her stay on ANC just because I like her tandem with Ricky C. Besides Karen already denied she was leaving TV Patrol last year so.... I don't think there will be changes with TV Patrol, because we would have heard about it by now. ...
