XXX 2008-09-20

On XXX she wore a white track jacket minus the hoodies that we all like seeing on her. :) She also wore a black turtle neck top, she looks great with it on and she accessorized it with gold, hoop earrings, and she kept her hair tied. She really looks classy though, even when she wore it with jeans. Her outfit looks like these:

Their topic on XXX was about concubinage (for married men) and adultery (married women). There's just something about the laws concerning those cases that's quite unfair. If a guy is guilty he will only serve 4 years in jail, where as a woman will serve 6 years. That's pretty unfair there, maybe they should review that law. Why can't they make it equal for both sexes? ANyway, so much of my ranting, I'm only here to update. :)

Pinky is Hoodies Pretty

On X X X tonight, they've featured the victims of illegal recruiters and OFW's who've been maltreated by employers.. During the opening Pinky wasn't there so I thought we wouldn't be able to catch a glimpse of her, but we're all wrong! She did her job, and even went to different government agencies and allegedly illegal recruitment agencies to conduct an investigation.

While paying a visit to POEA Pinky wore a red and white plaid shirt with jeans. And she's been wearing hoodies every time she does investigative journalism for X X X. Tonight we saw her wore white and red hoodies. She does wear hoodies pretty!

XXX 2008-07-12

Even when Pinky's taking a break, she made sure that all her work is done. On XXX tonight, though she isn't seen hosting the show along with Julius and Henry but she did tape an expose, or maybe did some voice over. It was about a barangay official in San Juan, Balagtas, Bulacan who's practicing abortion and even sells the drug Psytotec that's prohibited or is just sold with prescription because it can cause abortion. The barangay official when caught in act didn't even bother denying the act. She said that she's been doing it for quite some time already.

At this rough times people tend to do everything just to earn money, even if it means taking a life. Just a thought, when I heard Pinky voicing over it seemed like it was a phone patch, that or she just had colds that day. :)

Well, we hope that she's doing good and having fun while away. And we hope to see her (them) soon.

XXX 2008-06-07

On XXX today, Pinky exposed the modus operandi of a fake PAGIBIG (HDMF) broker. The XXX team conducted an entrapment operation to give an end to the wrong and vicious deception of the persons behind the act.

Watch XXX tonight, Pinky Webb will feature a girl at a very young age who instead of going to school and play with other kids, she's doing a 'cyber show'.

2008-05-17 XXX

If you are fond of eating some of our native delicacies, specially the espasol you have to watch tonight's XXX episode. Pinky Webb went to Antipolo where you can find a gazillion kinds of our native delicacies and finds out that the Filipino favorite espasol is still being sold even if the color of the powder color is already greenish because of molds.

She'll try to investigate as to why these food are still being sold, and how to avoid buying the expired ones. It's hard for us to figure because these stuff doesn't have expiry dates stamped on the packaging.

2008-05-10 XXX

Last night on XXX,Pinky's explosive and exclusive expose is about a woman who gave birth and performed with forceps. Forceps is used to assist the delivery of the baby as an alternative to the ventouse method. And this method is used to avoid ceasarian delivery. This method is used if the baby is not delivering despite maternal effort.

When the baby of the lady was delivered, the baby was full of bruises at most part of its tiny body. The head of the baby is liked "blued" with bruises and some sort of 'scraped', I'm not really sure about it though because the image of the baby was blurred.

The father of the baby and PInky Webb tried to get the side of the OB Gyne to be fair with the both sides but when they went to the hospital, a hospital administrator of sort told them that the doctor is no longer connected with the said hospital where the baby was delivered.

The baby is now with the parents and is now recovering/healing the wounds and bruises it got while being delivered. And the parents already filed a lawsuit against the doctor and the hospital itself.

After TV Patrol Sabado tonight, XXX aired. And it was the first episode where Pinky joined Henry Omaga-Diaz and Julius Babao. Pinky's explosive report is about a daughter who squealed her mother's pot session with other drug users inside their abode to the authorities. Pinky personally manned/joined the surveillance team. She is really good at it, she doesn't look like a first timer on the show. She wowed the viewers with her prowess.

Truly, ABS-CBN news and current affairs made a great move in placing Pinky Webb on the show. I'll post some still photos of the episode here later, and maybe add some video clips as well.

EXPECT more exclusive and explosive stories from "XXX" as respected journalist Pinky Webb joins Henry Omaga-Diaz and Julius Babao.

Starting Saturday, the new investigative team continues to literally shed light on illegal activities taking place in the dark, hidden alleys and in high places of society.

"I have always wanted to do an investigative program not only to help victims but also to alert the public against petty as well as high crimes. The program XXX has shown how far people will go just to earn a living, even if it comes at the cost of other people's lives," Pinky said.

Pinky, a broadcast journalist of 14 years, has earned public recognition for her fearless and incisive reportage on important national stories like the Manila Peninsula siege and the Subic Rape Case Trial Promulgation. She replaces Karen Davila, who will be given a new show.

ABS-CBN news and current affairs head Luchi Cruz-Valdes said as far from just filling a void, "Pinky will give a new voice and infuse fresh vigor to the cause of XXX to uncover crimes and do it with heart."

Pinky's exclusive report on Daniel Smith, a US soldier based in the Philippines convicted of rape, after the guilty verdict was handed served as one of the winning elements of the only Filipino newscast that made it to the final four nominees for Best Newscast in the prestigious International Emmy Awards -- "Bandila".

Aside from her Daniel Smith exclusive, Pinky also stood out as one of the few who bravely faced the dangers of covering the Manila Peninsula siege, where she proved her dedication as a reporter choosing to face the tear gas bombing despite her asthma.

For Pinky, hosting a program such as XXX poses not just a great challenge but an opportunity for public service as well.

"I've always been fascinated by the two main protagonists in a crime -- the perpetrator and the victim. XXX is an opportunity to show both faces and make viewers understand them, and in so doing, help put a stop to the crime itself," she said.

Aside from XXX, Pinky hosts the morning news program "Umagang Kayganda" and the afternoon radio news program "Radyo Balita" on weekdays.
