Good News?

Hey everyone! I think I have some good news! I just hope I'm right. :) I heard from the radio this morning that Anthony will be away for quite some time because he'll be going to the US. Maybe that meant that Pinky and Edu will be back soon so that UKG won't be 'undermanned'. :)

I just wish I'm right with my intuition! :) I am so missing them already....

UKG 2008-05-30

On UKG today, it was only Pinky Webb and Anthony Taberna who were there for the opening, Edu Manzano is running late as well as Rica Peralejo, Donita Rose and Kuya Kim Atienza are on location in Zoobic Safari in Subic and Tita Winnie Cordero is in the Megatrade center in Megamall. As Pinky said on the earlier part of the show Alex Santos is sick.

During the opening Anthony was carrying the makeshift banner that says “WANTED HOST”, as there were only Pinky, Bernadette Sembrano and him were there. Pinky also danced and sang along the music of Awitin mo, Isasayaw ko, she also asked Tunying to also dance and sing with her. And she also revealed that sapsap (a kind of fish) is her favorite and that she’s really a big eater.

The audience from the Treasurers and Assesors from Nueva Vizcaya brought tupig (a kind of rice delicacy) for the hosts, and the University of Perpetual Help also brought buko pies for the UKG hosts. Anthony and Pinky couldn’t wait to taste test the food that were brought for them. Pinky jokingly asked if the food they’ve brought does have an expiration date stamped on the packaging, and said that “kung expired ‘to, papa-XXX ko kayo!”.

When Pinky, Edu and Anthony were reading the headlines, Edu made his turn for the taste test of the tupig and hid the one of two boxes of buko pies. Pinky asked him to buy coffee for them as it will go well with the tupig and that because he wasn’t on the opening the buko pies are for her and Tunying only. And jokingly added “dahil espesyal ka sa akin, ibibigay ko sa’yo ang isa”, then whispered to him “Php500 lang!”.Pinky Webb is really getting the hang of the lightness of the show, unlike her other shows in ABS and ANC that are really hard core news.

Today on UKG, Pinky is finally back on the show. She was missed by lot of her fans since she’s been gone for some days.

This morning while Pinky Webb and Anthony Taberna were delivering today’s headlines on newspapers, the rubout that took place in Batangas last week. Anthony jokingly imitates Gus Abelgas and said “hindi nagsisinungaling ang ebidensya”. And Pinky Webb playfully added “Dito lang sa SOCO, Scene Of the Crime Operative”, ala Gus Abelgas and jokingly said “wag naa baka magalit sakin si Gus!”. Though I’m a big fan of Pinky and Anthony I’ll say that they are not good at impersonating Gus unlike Ogie Diaz who's a pro at it, but they’re really funny!

On News Patrol Pinky interviewed Winston Garcia, director of GSIS and Elpi Cuna a representative from MERALCO through phone patch. She was like in between two banging stones as Winston Garcia seemed really motivated to not let Elpi Cuna speak their side of the story. Personally, I think if they were in front of each other they'll end up cutting each other's throats, as they were really on it! But luckily, they're not seeing face to face and Pinky's quite a good referee for the two, the phone interview ended well (without blood spilling all over!)
